Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LCE2C RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LCE2C’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where LCE2C RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LCE2C is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LIHC and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC, LIHC, and KIRC are the cancer types where LCE2C tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
