Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP9-6 RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP9-6 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher KRTAP9-6 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP9-6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and OV show a favorable association.
KIRP, THCA, and ESCA are the cancer types where KRTAP9-6 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
