Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP9-6 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of KRTAP9-6’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where KRTAP9-6 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types KRTAP9-6 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PRAD and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, PRAD, and KIRP are the cancer types where KRTAP9-6 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
