Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP9-12P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of KRTAP9-12P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where KRTAP9-12P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types KRTAP9-12P is over-expressed in tumor.
HNSC, LUAD, and PRAD are the cancer types where KRTAP9-12P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
