Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP8-2P RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP8-2P data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher KRTAP8-2P RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP8-2P expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and PAAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, COAD, and ESCA are the cancer types where KRTAP8-2P RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
