Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP8-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP8-1 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher KRTAP8-1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP8-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.

STAD, READ, and DLBC are the cancer types where KRTAP8-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
