Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP5-9 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP5-9 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher KRTAP5-9 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP5-9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and STAD show a favorable association.
BLCA, DLBC, and STAD are the cancer types where KRTAP5-9 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
