Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP5-9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KRTAP5-9 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher KRTAP5-9 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP5-9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, SCLC, and LUAD are the cancer types where KRTAP5-9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
