Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP5-6 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP5-6 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher KRTAP5-6 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP5-6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and LGG show a favorable association.

BRCA, PCPG, and SKCM are the cancer types where KRTAP5-6 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
