Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP5-5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 16 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP5-5 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), where higher KRTAP5-5 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP5-5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and READ show a favorable association.

PAAD, READ, and SCLC are the cancer types where KRTAP5-5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
