Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP22-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP22-1 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher KRTAP22-1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP22-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA show a favorable association.

UCEC, HNSC, and SKCM are the cancer types where KRTAP22-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
