Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP22-1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KRTAP22-1 data layer compared with 10 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher KRTAP22-1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP22-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, COAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where KRTAP22-1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
