Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP21-4P RNA is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP21-4P data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher KRTAP21-4P RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP21-4P expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and SKCM show a favorable association.

HNSC, THCA, and BLCA are the cancer types where KRTAP21-4P RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
