Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP21-3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP21-3 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher KRTAP21-3 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP21-3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA show a favorable association.

LIHC, BLCA, and COAD are the cancer types where KRTAP21-3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
