Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP21-1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KRTAP21-1 data layer compared with 15 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher KRTAP21-1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP21-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC are the cancer types where KRTAP21-1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
