Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP10-2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of KRTAP10-2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where KRTAP10-2 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types KRTAP10-2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and PRAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BRCA, COAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where KRTAP10-2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
