Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRT9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KRT9 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher KRT9 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRT9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.

BLCA, STAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where KRT9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
