Across TCGA patient cohorts, KRT9 RNA expression is significantly associated with the protein abundance of many other proteins, with 7,360 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible KRT9-associated proteins across cancer lineages are KRT16_S44, TRIM29, and TRIM29_S21. Each is linked with KRT9 in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both KRT9-to-partner and partner-to-KRT9 results are reported.
