Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRT6B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KRT6B data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher KRT6B Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRT6B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, LGG, and UCEC are the cancer types where KRT6B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
