Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIF26B RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KIF26B data layer compared with 14 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher KIF26B RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIF26B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and LUAD show a favorable association.
MESO, OV, and ACC are the cancer types where KIF26B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
