Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KDM4A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KDM4A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher KDM4A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KDM4A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and COAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where KDM4A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
