Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KDM2B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KDM2B data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher KDM2B mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KDM2B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and LUAD show a favorable association.
PDAC, LSCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where KDM2B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
