Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNQ5-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 16 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KCNQ5-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher KCNQ5-AS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNQ5-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LAML and ESCA show a favorable association.

HNSC, THCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where KCNQ5-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
