Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNK16 RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KCNK16 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), where higher KCNK16 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNK16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and PAAD show a favorable association.
READ, DLBC, and KIRC are the cancer types where KCNK16 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
