Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNK16 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KCNK16 data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher KCNK16 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNK16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.

GBM are the cancer types where KCNK16 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
