Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNK15-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KCNK15-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher KCNK15-AS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNK15-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SARC and PAAD show a favorable association.

KIRP, KIRC, and BRCA are the cancer types where KCNK15-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
