Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNK1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KCNK1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher KCNK1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNK1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
CESC, PRAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where KCNK1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
