Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNJ11 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KCNJ11 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher KCNJ11 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNJ11 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC are the cancer types where KCNJ11 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
