Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, JMJD7-PLA2G4B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of JMJD7-PLA2G4B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where JMJD7-PLA2G4B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types JMJD7-PLA2G4B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, BRCA, and CHOL are the cancer types where JMJD7-PLA2G4B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
