Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ITM2A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ITM2A data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher ITM2A Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ITM2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, ACC, and LUSC are the cancer types where ITM2A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
