Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ITGA7 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ITGA7’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where ITGA7 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ITGA7 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, LIHC, and KIRC are the cancer types where ITGA7 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
