Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, INGX RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of INGX’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where INGX RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types INGX is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, LUAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where INGX tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
