Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IL21R RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IL21R data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher IL21R RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IL21R expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and HNSC show a favorable association.

SKCM, HNSC, and UVM are the cancer types where IL21R RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
