IL17RE

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IL17RE RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of IL17RE’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where IL17RE RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types IL17RE is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KIRP, and LUAD are the cancer types where IL17RE tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
