Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGKV2-40 RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGKV2-40 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher IGKV2-40 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGKV2-40 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.

HNSC, UCS, and STAD are the cancer types where IGKV2-40 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
