Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGKV2-28 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of IGKV2-28’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where IGKV2-28 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types IGKV2-28 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, KIRC, and LUAD are the cancer types where IGKV2-28 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
