Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGKV2-26 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of IGKV2-26’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where IGKV2-26 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types IGKV2-26 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BRCA, COAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where IGKV2-26 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
