Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGKV1-5 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IGKV1-5 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher IGKV1-5 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGKV1-5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LSCC show a favorable association.

COAD, HNSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where IGKV1-5 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
