Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHVIII-2-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGHVIII-2-1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher IGHVIII-2-1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHVIII-2-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and LUSC show a favorable association.

KICH, KIRP, and READ are the cancer types where IGHVIII-2-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
