Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHV4-31 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IGHV4-31 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher IGHV4-31 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHV4-31 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
LUSC, LUAD, and SKCM are the cancer types where IGHV4-31 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
