Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHV3OR16-7 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of IGHV3OR16-7’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where IGHV3OR16-7 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types IGHV3OR16-7 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and READ show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, COAD, and READ are the cancer types where IGHV3OR16-7 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
