Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHV3-20 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IGHV3-20 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher IGHV3-20 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHV3-20 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and PDAC show a favorable association.
GBM, LUAD, and PDAC are the cancer types where IGHV3-20 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
