Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHV1OR16-2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of IGHV1OR16-2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where IGHV1OR16-2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types IGHV1OR16-2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and READ show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, COAD, and READ are the cancer types where IGHV1OR16-2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
