Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHV1-2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IGHV1-2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher IGHV1-2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHV1-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and PDAC show a favorable association.
LUAD, CCRCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where IGHV1-2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
