Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHD3-9 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGHD3-9 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher IGHD3-9 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHD3-9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and HNSC show a favorable association.

UVM, GBM, and SKCM are the cancer types where IGHD3-9 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
