Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHD3-10 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of IGHD3-10’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where IGHD3-10 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types IGHD3-10 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, THCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where IGHD3-10 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
