Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHD2-8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGHD2-8 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher IGHD2-8 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHD2-8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.

UVM, HNSC, and SKCM are the cancer types where IGHD2-8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
