Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IFNA4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated IFNA4 data layer compared with 9 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher IFNA4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IFNA4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and COAD show a favorable association.
LUSC, HNSC, and SKCM are the cancer types where IFNA4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
