Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IFIT1B RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IFIT1B data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher IFIT1B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IFIT1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SKCM show a favorable association.
SCLC, KIRC, and SKCM are the cancer types where IFIT1B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
