Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IDH1-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IDH1-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher IDH1-AS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IDH1-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and BRCA show a favorable association.

HNSC, ACC, and LIHC are the cancer types where IDH1-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
